First Vlog Post (not really)
I was planning on doing a virtual tour this time to show off my new Logitech webcam.
So on Saturday I got my list of new Free tools and opened up all the pages I was planning to show you in Firefox. I combed my hair, set up the camera and…
My wife called me to tell me we are late to go to the beach. So I had to shut down my computer and take the family to the beach. Actually it was nice and relaxing, but that meant I wasn’t going to be able to play till Sunday night or Monday.
We got back a bit late on Sunday so I decided to go to bed and do it on Monday. Yesterday after work I got home set up the camera, pages, Camtasia, etc., and I did the virtual tour. FINALY!
BUT. . . and there is always a but. The video from the webcam came out quite choppy, so I did it again only with audio, but for some reason the slides don’t show up.
I tried for the last time this morning, and guess what? No audio.
So I have definitely decided to practice more on how to put together the whole virtual tour idea and I’ll just give you the links.
The services are great and FREE so I encourage you to try them out, I’m sure you’ll like them.
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ We had seen this previously, but I think they have a new interface, and it is way too good not to mention twice
http://www.evernote.com/en/ This is a scratchpad, idea organizer, write whatever you want application. The free version is great
http://desktop.google.com/ Now you can have all the benefit of Google’s search in your computer. Check out these Hacks also Google Desktop Hacks
http://ipodder.sourceforge.net/index.php This is Podcast reading software, similar to a news or RSS reader, this will download your favourite Podcasts and have them on your computer for you to listen when it’s convenient.
https://secure.logmein.com/go.asp?page=home This is a very nice remote computer assistant, like PC anywhere or GoTo MyPC, but they have a free option that does great job.
